diy laundry detergent

i have been working toward sustainability while on this journey to nontoxic living — it was something i felt overwhelmed by at the beginning honestly, so i decided to take things slow and as i got comfortable with one i’d find inspiration to start the aspect of sustainability.

there’s probably an even more sustainable way of doing it, so just know that this is MY journey, and this is where i’m at currently.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

- 40 oz seal tight jar

- washing soda

- baking soda

- borax laundry boost

- castile bar soap( i like lavender, but you can do unscented or any other scents they have)

- optional // essential oils of choice. i like lavender, or anything citrus.

DIRECTIONS :

- 2 cups washing soda

- 2 cups borax laundry boost

- 1 cup baking soda

- 50 drops eo

- 2 castile bars of soap // or two tbsp per load of liquid

shake well

1 tbsp per load, 2 tbsp for larger loads/outerwear, 3 tbsp bulky bedding
