littles : easter basket

i knew pretty quickly when i found out i was going to be a mother that we were going to be doing holidays and celebrations(especially ones that are meant to be centered around my beliefs)a little less commercial, and create an intentional, valuable experience out of them.

i love watching christmas movies that have nothing to do with Jesus being born. i love easter egg hunts and making a cute little basket for rehn, even though that has nothing to do with the day we’re actually celebrating—but i love to also add value to those celebrations by providing resources, or starting traditions that encapsulate and explain the true reason for our celebrations.

so for easter — i love to keep things minimal, but fun too! we do the basket thing, but it’s a small basket that always contains an experience, and reading book or coloring book or something along those lines that speak on Christ, and what easter is all about. i always use a basket i already have(thrifted the cutest little wicker basket & it’s officially used as her basket for easter, but i use it as her little ikea kitchen food storage too because… we like to use what we have at all times)add a couple other things that could be fun in the spring like chalk or bubbles or a cute little easter outfit!

here’s what i got for rehn this year(and last year)!
