my go-to cup of jo

| like a lot you, i am a happy espresso machine owner now! it was a gift that i asked for my birthday/christmas combined(my birthday falls on the 21st of december),valentines day AND mothers day! i am so thankful for it, because while it’s pricey initially(they do have payment options available too), it really does save us so much money in the long run! i was out getting coffee 5 days a week during and after covid & now i can make 1 or 2 cups a day and it costs us maybe $1 a cup! i love it, i have a long way to go in understanding the whole concept of that “barista lifestyle”, but good coffee is made & that’s all that matters!

i am not a measurement kinda gal — but i took some time and figured out good ratios & measurements for you, to simply make this easier!

RECIPE:

  • mix together 1/2 tablespoon of maple syrup & 3 drops of vanilla extract

  • pull 2 shots of espresso over the maple & vanilla mix

  • froth together 1 cup of whole milk/halfnhalf(if you want it more creamy) or any nut milk of choice with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup until cloud consistency ;)

  • pour over your steamed milk and enjoooooy

  • if you’re a visual person, watch my tutorial here!
