H I F R I E N D S !
I am ready for Baby number 2 any day now and i thought while i had some extra time * literally trying to focus on anything other than “when is baby coming” * I would put together a little list of all the supplies i’ve acquired and need for my Home birth, Postpartum, and even some newborn “essentials” that i’m loving!
This is my first home birth experience, so I know I might be a little more “prepared” than I might have been if it weren’t my first rodeo, but that’s okay! It’s all about learning as we go and I honestly still consider this pretty minimal :)
i’d also like to note that i already had some of this stuff from my previous go-around & was very kindly loved on by close friends and family through a little sprinkle as well!
I don’t want you to look at these lists and think you have to buy these things in order to be fully prepared or raise a baby well. If we get really technical, all baby needs is you, your breasts(or a formula + a couple bottles if they don’t take), a few onesies and your arms for the beginning of their time here earth-side.
it’s fun to buy all the things, especially when everyone says “necessities” or “must haves”(which i was hesitant to even put on my own recommendations)but never at the expense of discontentment, anxiety, or mis-spending.
These are things i would put on my registry if i were a new mama to be or even a sprinkle! Quality matters to me more than most, so i am a little more picky about what’s on my list, but there are such good, cheaper options out there too.
i just wanted to make sure you know i am not posting this to pressure ANYONE into thinking they NEED any of these things.. these are just things i find useful and would have loved broken down by someone in this kind of format if/while i just started to figure it all out—especially home birth stuff. That is some confusing and not very well documented information and i thought i’d help a little. I’d love to answer any other questions you might have on that too if you leave them down below!

I was going to get my own birthing pool because i wanted the Earthside brand, but i keep getting actual contractions and the delivery was too unpredictable that i just rented one this time around. But i will link the things i WOULD have gotten had i bought them on my own!
