veggie pizza recipe
| if you’re looking for a crowd pleaser when entertaining
or struggle to find a dish to bring to a gathering — this is for you!
there is really no absolutes when it comes to veggie pizza! you can add, or take away anything & it’ll still taste fresh!
HERE IS A VIDEO of the process in case you’re more visual
( like me ッ )
my aunt would make this all the time when we went over to her house for family gatherings, and it quickly became a side/snack i looked forward to when we’d get together! super easy to make, little ingredients, and very inexpensive(especially if you buy in bulk, or have a garden to pick from)!
the very first thing you’re going to do is
WASH YOUR PRODUCE!
When it comes to washing produce, many people stick to a quick rinse. But this tactic means that worms, bugs, pesticides, and dirt are often left behind. Yuck!
| INGREDIENTS
— SAUCE —
1 BRICK CREAM CHEESE (softened)
SOUR CREAM(this is where i slack & don’t measure… but it’s more a taste thing anyway)
FRESH DILL
RANCH SEASONING
— OTHER —
2 CANS OF CRESCENT ROLLS
BELL PEPPER(preferably red, yellow or orange)
BROCCOLI
CARROTS
CUCUMBER
SHREEDED CHEESE (or feta)
can also add — tomato, celery, any fresh greens(kale, spinach, shredded lettuce), mushroom
thieves fruit & veggie soak concentrate is what i always use.
| PREP
◠ you’re gonna start off turning on the oven to 350(i think… lol whatever the crescent rolls say to turn the oven to) & spray your baking pan. i use reusable baking sheets and put that on top of my baking sheet, which is just easier cleanup & easier to transport off of when it’s finished - but feel free to just use your baking pan and spray!
◠ open both cans of crescent rolls, and spread them out evenly throughout your pan. you can double layer for a thinker crust, or just do an even one layer. then you’ll pop it in the oven for about 15 minutes - or until golden brown.
◠ while that’s in the oven we’ll start to make the “sauce”.
i’m not sure if this is actually considered a sauce or not, bu it’s the cream layer under your produce and it’s chefs kiss!
you’ll put your softened cream cheese, sour cream, dill, and ranch seasoning altogether in a bowl and mix until it’s entirely incorporated with no lumps. add dill, sour cream, and ranch seasoning to taste and then set aside.
◠ now we chop up our produce! i won’t go into this very long because it’s pretty self-explanatory - but i will just say that how you decide to chop up your produce is entirely up to you. i have found it’s easier to eat the finer you chop them up, but if you like bigger chunks, go for it!
| ASSEMBLY TIME
allow your crescent rolls to cool a bit, and then spread your cream cheese mixture & spread out evenly. then you’ll layer the produce on top of that! add shredded cheese(i use mexican when i do)if you want, or crumbled feta!
then you cut up and serve - i use a pizza cutter because it’s the easiest and a lot less messy ッ
i hope you enjoy! tag me on instagram @emilystyx if your try it - especially if you add anything else to it! i love to learn from you guys too!
